Concerti de Duo Rendezvous
with Duo Rendezvous (Daniel Bolshoy, guitar and Jasper Wood, violin) and the John Avison Chamber Orchestra, Leslie Dala, conductor
The opening concert of the season will feature pieces for guitar and violin duo with string orchestra. It will include the Melodia Sentimental by the Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos and the beautifully evocative Concerto for Violin and Guitar by British guitarist and composer William Lovelady. The Duo Rendezvous will also showcase a fiery array of duo and solo repertoire to complete the festive programme.
