The Montrose Trio 

with Jon Kimura Parker, piano, Martin Beaver, violin and Clive Greensmith, cello

The Montrose Trio, appearing for the first time in White Rock, is a collaboration stemming from a long and fruitful relationship between pianist Jon Kimura Parker with the Tokyo String quartet’s former first violinist Martin Beaver and cellist Clive Greensmith. Each a virtuoso in their own right, the three stellar musicians are a powerhouse ensemble and will mesmerize us as they perform Mendelssohn’s rapturous and romantic Trio in C minor, in a program that also highlights three unique voices of the 20th-century, in music born in the depths of WW II, a work inspired by horseback riding in the Andes, and a little jazz.
